Name: Jerod Johnson

Hobbies: Video games, fishing, hunting, ultimate disc, basketball and hanging out with my wife and daughter.

Toilet Paper Preference: Over the top towards me. You know, like a waterfall. Non of that rolling under away from me nonsense.

Favorite Odor: Firewood burning on a cold day, especially pine.

Art Philosophy:

First and foremost, I believe art is decorative.
I think most people could agree to that. Beyond
looking “cool”, I don’t believe most people care too
much. However, for those who care to linger at an
image a while longer, a whole new world can open
right before their eyes. Suddenly, art can contain
deep meaning, wonderful emotions, provoking
thoughts and a window into something bigger.
I try to find a balance between being decorative
and deeper meaning. I try to infuse my sense of
humor, beliefs, thoughts and questions into something
I also find beautiful. I think my work is most successful
when someone takes a second longer and finds something
new, exciting or interesting in one of my images.
I think that is pretty sweet.
